Wrote... This was a great site to stumble up on. I am a junior high drama teacher looking for ways to plan my curriculum for the year. I have a BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Florida, and love teaching! This site was organized, precise, and concise. I loved it. I am so happy to be able to itroduce method acting to my 12, 13, and 14 year old students. Wrote... Thanks for your "to the point tips". I have had similar experiences in my acting career. A respected film director once told me at a 3rd callback that I couldn't be "plain-looking" enough for a particular role. I told her that she was mistaken and that I could look plain. When she didn't believe me I performed my lines anyway, thanked her for her time and walked out. As I was getting to my car an assistant ran up to me and told me that Ms. Hayek wanted to see me again. Back in the audition room Ms. Hayek asked me to improv a silent scene. I took a few beats and did what was asked. She wrote a part into the film for me and I was able to work on the film for three days (Not a Huge job, but better than a kick in the pants). Actors:Believe in yourself and achieve your goals.
