Wrote... hello fellow actors!!! this is truly a great site, isn't it! first let me tell you a little bit about myself; i've been modeling for over 10 years and have done commercials, print, runway, promotions, industrials etc. i'm a late comer in the acting business. shhhhhhhh... i better not say that too loud, i'll have all the laidies in town trying to find me! anyway, i'm a natural, competitive bodybuilder and just like i tell people in the gym that are in there 50's and 60's, "it's never too late to persue what you love to do" it doesn't matter how, when or where you start, what does matter is you started! i'm in my mid 30's and loving every minute of it! never went to college, as a matter of fact, i've been told i'm a natural of many talents; acting is one of them. i got started in the acting business back in 2000 when i called the local community college and inquired about the theatre program. i meet the instuctor/professor of the program and he was happy to have met me and told me to audition for a play he was involved in which was about a week away. i landed a role as a lead in the play [lysistrada], not ever attending a single workshop but practicing the craft for about a year prior on web sites just like this one. the play gave me the interaction with other actors, the one eliment i needed, that was missing from just acting in front of a mirror. which proves that when you pursue anything in life, the ability to learn comes natural to everyone. although, everybody's ability to learn is different. personally, i prefer to learn at my own pace without the pressures, time limits and/or final exams. some may question my method but just remember this; if you have a passion, you'll pursue it no matter what. there's always more than one way to an objective; or the more popular saying: "there's more than one way to skin a cat"! ...naaaaaaaaa, i love cats! o.k let's try this one: "there's three sides to every coin". much better! anyway you get the picture! just stay positive, open minded and be your own person no matter what others may think of you. that's what makes you so unique! -mike avery florida model/actor p.s special thanks to theatrgroup for making it happen for many, we need more people in the world like you.

Wrote... i was lucky enough to be involved with a small theater(equity waver) and learned the method in class and on stage.the theater is east west players here in los angeles. the mission of our theater was to produce and perform original work by asian writers. it was a wonderful time, but what is important to relate is how important the base of the method it provides the structure to learn by, a reality within a reality. all i can say to any actor is keep the faith, it will happen for you. sites like this are important in that it provides a way of looking at acting as a process of the soul.

I'm 42 years old and have been a legal secretary (which is an extremely dramatic and sometimes quite comical occupation in itself!) most of my adult working life.
