I am doing a project on "Method Acting" for school. I hope to be a famous actress
1 day~! Thankz 4 all your help~! I guess I don't have to much time 4 out of school
acting, but I take drama at school and absolutly love it. The 1st time I ever

hey. I'm really in to the whole acting thing. Im 13. Honestly my mom is a big
support to it and everything. Its just that its hard for agents to like you. Like
if they think your beautiful and may get a shot at hollywood.....I tried but they
kinda said you have to be skinny....im beautiful...big mussled....do you know
an agency that can actually help me do what i love doind. if so write back to
me and give me tips. Dont forget im 13 trying to pursue a career in acting...its
just the snobby scouts, that dont help...write back if you can and have time....mahalo

Thank you so much for making this site and the method acting procedures , they

I have the incredible opportunity, at age 16, to be directing a scene from "Brighton
Beach Memoirs" by Neil Simon, for an advanced acting class at school. I was a
little apprehensive at first because the scene is an extremely emotional one between
the two brothers, and my actors were worried that they would not be able to cry
or reach the level of intense emotion required in this scene. Luckily, I was able
to reassure them by explaining that method acting would aid them a great deal.
This wonderfully organized site is helping me so much to direct them and help

I just took a short, three-day class on Method acting and realize I have been
doing much of it for the last 25 years. At my age, I have the time but not the
money to pursue further instruction. However, I'll read all I can and practice
what I've so far learned and pray for an agent to fall out of the sky. In my State
there are movies being made, in my City there are plenty of theatres, but NO AGENTS.

I am a technical theatre major at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, but have
lately become interested in branching out in my studies to include more performance.
Method acting caught my attention right away. I found this site to be an very
good starting point for method. Whereas many other sites gave only brief descriptions
of the components, this one presented them with quite a degree of detail. I also
found the list of books quite helpfull...THANKS!

Thank you,I've never stopped dreaming but I thought I had given up hope - you
have made me realise that I cannot STAND the state of normality I am in at the
moment! After doing a part-time foundation course at a drama school,still not
having found an agent or acting work I had gotten a bit complacent - you are right

I didn't really look much at the other guests' comments... so I don't want to
say the same thing as everybody else but oh well. This is a GREAT site--very inspiring.
I'm just a dreaming 18-yr-old in junior college at the moment, taking an acting
class, with background only from highschool. But I LOVE acting.. I'm trying to
audition for plays and things... but I'm wondering what chances there are for
commercial auditions and the like up here in Northern California (mainly Sacramento).

hey people!!I know some very good places to visit if you need advice on acting.
Alson on those sites it will tell you everything about getting an agent...geting
into a good class...and helping you get started. but I also need some more info
because a person can never learn enough to stop learning. im only 14 and my dream
is to become an actoress...and I believe that with God on my side I can do anything
but I also believe that I cant just sit and wait for a miricle soooo.....Im doing
some research and I need some help. So if looking for advice or willing to GIVE
